We listen to your feedback and put you as our first priority. As well as delivering professional websites, Kongnect Design provides you with free initial consultation and friendly advice throughout your website’s design process.
Whether it is from the initial stage of design brief to the realisation of your final design, we will be with you all the way to meet your requirements.
We use jargon-free approach; rest assured that we will only ever provide clear and concise advice. If you don’t have a clue about the web and if it’s completely new to you - don't worry! For a start, here are some step-to-step guides for the construction of your new website:
- By now, you should know your marketing plan and understand your target market or intended consumers.
- Choose a number of keywords that are appropriate to the contents of your business. Write them down for our reference.
- Choose a domain name (domain name is the web address that appears in the URL field). The most popular domain names are .co.uk .org.uk and .com.
- Check for its availability from the Domain Name Checker
- Spend some time surfing the Internet and find out what are the possibilities and look into your competitors' website. Always keep an open mind and ask yourself what you like and what you don't like about it. If you come across a particular style of website you like, reference it as it helps to give the designer an idea of your design requirements. This could well be saving your time and money. We obviously do not copy it but use it for visual direction only.
- Let us know the style of your website if you have one and any other preferences.
- Please list out 2 to 3 URL/ Website addresses for our reference.
- Produce and categorise your content, as it will help you to decide the required number of pages. Your categories could be based on your sub-niche markets you are targeting.
- Check all your content such as product lists; make sure it is complete, concise, and clear (although we provide a proof-reading service). Make sure you supply them in digital format*.
- Finalise the number of pages required, as this will help us to plan ahead in terms of page layout and navigation structure. (There may be an additional charge to such alteration after the requirements have been agreed and work has been carried out)
- Compile and supply any materials such as logo, images and artwork. Make sure you supply them in digital format*.
- Decide whether you need any additional features such as eCommerce function, animation, sound effect, gallery slideshow, video clips, ‘QuickTime VR’ panoramas (360° image viewer) or just to take photographs for your online products/ albums.
- If you incorporate a contact or feedback form, please decide the required fields, the most obvious ones are full name, telephone, e-mail etc.
